When to go to the Emergency Room

Avoid ER visits unless you have:

  • chest pain

  • shortness of breath 

  • loss of consciousness  

  • one-sided weakness with facial droop and garbled speech

  • sudden severe abdominal pain

  • high fever with rash

  • seizures

  • severe repeated vomiting

  • serious burns or lacerations 

 

Most ER visits can be avoided by calling your doctor first.   We answer our phone 24 hours per day.
